Sub-regional networks:
Southern: The Southern Africa Reflect coordinator is Wolfgang Leumer, based in Cape Town, South Africa. The Southern Africa Reflect Network (PASARNET) was formed in early 2004, at a meeting of Reflect practitioners from Angola, Lesotho, Malawi, South Africa and Zambia. All practitioners in the sub-region can now be reached by listserve at pasarnet@aldsa.org.
A task force is preparing a proposal for a University of Botswana/ UNESCO/ DVV text book series on Reflect titled: "African Perspectives on Adult Learning"
Western: The West Africa Reflect coordination unit was established in 1998 with its coordination office based with Julie Adu-Gyamfi in Ghana. The unit focuses mainly on Anglophone countries, as well as giving technical support to the francophone network in the region. For more information see 2003 West Africa Reflect update
Francophone: Mahamadou Cheick Diarra, based in Mali, has been Reflect Sub-regional Co-ordinator for Francophone West Africa since January 1999. The Francophone West Africa Practitioners' Forum is an informal network which aims to develop strategies to support and encourage the use of Reflect, create a forum for mutual learning and exchange and keep practitioners up to date with the evolution of Reflect, trends and innovations.
Lusophone: Marta Bazima is the Reflect Co-ordinator for Mozambique and is also linking to other portuguese speaking countries in Africa, and with Brazil.
